Scholarship for Rural and Remote Volunteer Community Members
Expressions of Interest (EOI) close 31 July, 2020
The WA Chapter of the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) invites you to submit an expression of interest for a funded position at the 2020 Biennial Conference in Mandurah. Lotterywest funding will support 30 people with the conference fee and some support for travel and accommodation. The successful applicants will also become members of the WA Chapter for a year. Applicants need to be 18 years and over.
The Expression of Interest Application
The EOI applies to volunteers currently working with an environment group in their community. A limit of two volunteers per group applies and they must engage in a mentoring program in the lead-up to the conference. You will be asked to volunteer for one of the three days of the conference to assist in the running of the event. After the conference we will support your community project or the implementation of one of the WA Chapter projects listed on our website at www.aaeewa.org.au
The EOI needs to cover the following points
- Describe a project that you are involved with in your community.
- What benefits will you gain from participating in the AAEE Biennial Conference?
- What projects do you propose to activate for your community?
- Letter of support from the environment group or local government that you are affiliated with.
- Your contact details
The application form is available here to complete and return to Dr Jennifer Pearson by 31 July 2020 at firstname.lastname@example.org
All persons intending to attend the Conference must complete a Registration Form.
